Tuesday, 25th of October, 2022 saw the dismissal of Ashantigold’s injunction request for the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League (GPL) by the Accra High Court.
After learning that the struggling Miners had filed a plea to halt the season at the Human Rights Court on September 29, 2022, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) placed the league on hold.
Following the conclusion of Matchday 3, the GPL had been suspended for 26 days.
Due to what Ashantigold said was an “unlawful demotion,” the GFA was sued by Ashantigold. After being found guilty of match tampering in the 2020/21 Premier League season finale against Inter Allies, the team was demoted to Division Two.
After successfully getting the application denied, the GFA will now announce the day on which the league will restart.
