Vinicius Junior’s spectacular strike gave Brazil the lead seven minutes into the first half in a match that featured many goals before the break.
When Brazil was given a penalty kick in the 13th minute, they had an opportunity to double their advantage five minutes later. Neymar Jr., the team’s star player, went up and scored from 12 yards away to give the football giants a double-digit advantage.
Richarlison and Lucas Paqueta both scored again for Brazil just before halftime to give them a comfortable 4-0 lead.
After the break, Brazil’s head coach Tite had the luxury of making a number of adjustments as his team had enough time to finish the game.
Seung-Ho Paik would give South Korea a small reprieve, but it would not be enough to prevent them from losing 4-1 after the full 90 minutes.
Brazil has advanced to the quarterfinals with Monday ‘s victory and will play Croatia there.
