Prosper Narteh Ogum, a former Asante Kotoko coach, has been hired by the Black Stars in time for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Despite leading Asante Kotoko to capture the Ghana Premier League (GPL) in 2022–2023, Narteh Ogum is currently without a club.
The former West African Football Academy [WAFA] head coach will scout for the Black Stars throughout the world championship, with Ghana scheduled to compete in 2022 in Qatar.
The Black Stars, who did not compete in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, have been placed in Group H with Uruguay, South Korea, and Portugal.
The Black Stars’ technical staff will be relying on Narteh Ogum, who defied all expectations to lead Kotoko to victory in their inaugural season with the Porcupine Warriors.
At Stadium 974 in Doha, Ghana’s campaign will get underway against Portugal on November 24.
The Black Stars are back in action four days later when they play South Korea at Al Rayyan’s Education City Stadium.
At Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah, Ghana will conclude their exciting group stage journey with their much awaited matchup with Uruguay.
The Black Stars will be looking to rebound in Qatar after a disappointing World Cup 2014 campaign in Brazil.
The 22nd World Cup will begin on November 20 and run through December 18.
