Feud rises between musicians Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy again

Date:

A recent concert at the University of Ghana has sparked controversy, with two rival musicians, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, at the center of the drama. Shatta Wale’s show was cancelled due to a lack of prior approval from the Office of the Dean of Students, while Stonebwoy’s concert at Liman Hall went ahead successfully.

The cancellation has led to a war of words between the two musicians, with Shatta Wale’s management team claiming that Stonebwoy was involved in the cancellation. University authorities, acting on an “order from above,”  made the decision, according to the findings of the investigation.

The rivalry between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy dates back to 2012, with several public feuds and clashes between the two. In 2019, the rivalry escalated when the two musicians were involved in a near-brawl at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Despite efforts to reunite the two, their feud continues to make headlines in the Ghanaian music industry. Recently, Prophet Kwabena Asiamah, leader of the Ajagurajah Movement, urged the media to intensify the rivalry between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, believing it would benefit the industry and create opportunities for emerging artists.

The University of Ghana concert saga has reignited the debate about the rivalry between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, with fans and industry experts weighing in on the issue. While some have condemned the rivalry as harmful and unnecessary, others see it as a catalyst for growth and creativity in the industry.

As the drama unfolds, one thing is clear: the rivalry between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy is far from over, and the Ghanaian music industry will continue to feel its impact.
