Abdul Salis Samed, a midfielder for the Black Stars, revealed that it was in Qatar during the recently finished 2022 FIFA World Cup that his mother first watched him play football.
At the World Cup, Abdul Salis Samed, one of the tournament’s breakout stars, competed for Ghana.
He claims that his football-loving mother spent a lot of time watching him play for the first time at the World Cup.
The 22-year-old claimed in an interview that he called his mother as soon as he learned he had been called up to the Black Stars for the World Cup.
“It was incredible. I was already very happy when the coach called me. I immediately called my mother and told her I was going to play for the country,” the Lens player said.
He added, “she had never seen me play before, the World Cup was when she saw me on TV.”
At the FIFA World Cup 2022, Samed participated in all three of the Black Stars’ contests.
