A training session for Al-Nassr was reportedly canceled on Monday in Iran due to the large crowd of fervent soccer supporters waiting to see Cristiano Ronaldo.
Prior to their AFC Champions League group stage match against Persepolis on September 19 at the Azadi Stadium, the Knights of Najd landed in Tehran, the capital city.
Sportskeeda reported that large crowds had gathered around the practice field to watch the Portuguese sensation in action.
Al-Nassr reportedly called off the training session because of potential security issues.
According to AP News, supporters gathered in the hotel’s common area to jubilantly chant, “Ronaldo, Ronaldo,” since the team is currently staying at the Espinas Palace Hotel in Iran.
