Milovan Rajevac, Ghana’s head coach, claims his current Black Stars squad lacks a player of Asamoah Gyan’s caliber.
The Serbian strategist had some of Ghana’s top players during his first tenure with the Black Stars, including Stephen Appiah, John Mensah, Michael Essien, and Asamoah Gyan.
Although the Black Stars have several good players for the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON), the quality has been evident.
Milovan Rajevac confessed that his current squad lacks a quality striker during a news conference this afternoon before of Ghana’s last Group C encounter against Comoros.
The coach said “We don’t have the same team like 2010. Not enough time for preparations. We don’t have a player like Asamoah Gyan.”
Milovan Rajevac will be in the dugout today, Tuesday, January 18, 2022, when Ghana takes on Comoros.
The Black Stars must win comfortably to stand any chance of progressing to the knockout stage of the AFCON.
