According to Hearts of Oak veteran Yaw Amankwah Mireku, Samuel Boadu, the new gaffer, would have a difficult job.
At the club for two seasons, Samuel Boadu won six trophies, including the Ghana Premier League, the MTN FA Cup, the Super Cup, and others.
Amankwah Mireku clarified in an interview with an Accra-based FM station that whoever succeeds him or her will have enormous shoes to fill.
“The truth is that I’m scared for whoever is coming into coach Accra Hearts of Oak for now because the legacy Samuel Boadu has left behind brings a lot of workload and expectations on the new coach as he needs to perform more than Samuel Boadu.”
The Phobians have yet to name a head coach to guide their new technical staff, which now consists of Richard Oppong, the goalkeeper’s trainer, and assistant manager David Ocloo.
After leading Hearts of Oak to a loss to Aduana Stars and draws with Great Olympics and Asante Kotoko in the first three games of the new season, Samuel Boadu was fired.
