Asamoah Gyan, the legendary Black Stars striker, has said that he would like to manage the Black Stars in the future.
36-year-old former striker Asamoah Gyan said he will begin his coaching badges in June/July this year and is excited to work with the Black Stars as a striker’s coach.
Since leaving Legon Cities last season following an injury-plagued stay with the ambitious side, Asamoah Gyan has been without a club.
Gyan will have to emphasize coaching as a method of giving back to football as he nears the end of his career and the light appears to be flickering.
Asamoah Gyan, the former captain of Ghana’s Black Stars, will debut his biography on April 30 at the opulent Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra.
“I’d like to handle the Black Stars as a strikers coach, but everything takes time. First, I need to work on my coaching course, and I’m due to begin in June or July, after that we’ll see,” Gyan said on an Accra-based FM station.
Gyan is the country’s leading goal scorer with 51 goals, scoring six goals as the highest African player in the 2006, 2010, and 2014 World Cups in Germany, South Africa, and Brazil, respectively.
