The former skipper of the Black Stars of Ghana, Asamoah “Baby Jet” Gyan paid a courtesy call to the Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Usmanu Nuhu Sharubutu ahead of the Ramadan fast.
The Ramadan fast is a period Muslims, and a greater percentage of the general populace consider sacred or holy and do their every bidding to uphold.
Asamoah Gyan does not hold an alternative view as he has made his stance known a number of times when queried on the subject.
Photos from Gyan’s Instagram have shown how much he regards the top hierarchy of the Muslim community even as he paid a visit to wish them a fruitful fasting period and made some donations to that end.
He also stated in his caption how an inspiration the religious leader has been to him and his admiration for him. Asamoah Gyan was last observed playing for local team Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League.
