At the launch of his autobiography, ‘LeGyandary,’ former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan was in tears when recognizing his elder brother, Baffour Gyan.
While explaining the importance of his older brother in his football career, Asamoah Gyan became teary-eyed.
On the Red Carpet, Asamoah Gyan said to Gary Al-Smith:
“My brother is key; he is the one behind my success. Sometimes criticisms come, people blame him for him being a bad influence or something but they don’t know what he has done behind the scenes and this is what makes the book very interesting.”
‘LeGyandary’ covers the known and unknown facts, as well as the told and unseen story of Asamoah Gyan, the former captain of the Black Stars.
On Saturday, April 30, 2022, the book was officially published at the Kempiski Gold Coast Hotel in a colorful event. Dignitaries, ex-footballers, and other African football icons were in attendance during the occasion.
Following the successful introduction of his book, Asamoah Gyan becomes the first Ghanaian footballer to have his career documented in a book.
Gyan stated at the ceremony that his goal was to use his narrative and story to encourage future generations.
