“That’s right. It’s Benny. He’s the one. And you had to jump to conclusions, right? You know I’m too busy for that. Especially with this ongoing case… I can’t stop, especially with the mastermind still out there – whoever it was who ordered Mecurio to shoot my grandpa Delfin.”
Cardo, Flora and the rest of the family jubilate excitedly over Delfin’s recovery. Cardo gives him the good news of Hector’s capture. Meanwhile at the competing eatery, Dahlia cons the customers into desisting going over to Flora’s, saying that it’s dangerous over there. Together with Leroy her partner, they set out to expand their business.
Verna confronts her dad about the trending news of Almario and his wife’s disappearance. Don Emilio plays dumb. Tomas comes upon the scene as Verna rants nonstop. At the condemned market, Leroy goes to get more supplies of their secret ingredient.
After having settled in at the de Leon house, Cardo, Flora, Yolly and the others entertain Delfin with a laughable song and some ridiculous dance moves. Meanwhile, Leroy asks for ten fresh kilos of “the extra special meat”. Turns of out to be dog meat. Atong kills one and cuts it up for Leroy. A watchman spies.
While Flora makes it her mission of convincing Delfin to move in with them, the watchman asks Atong, the owner of the condemned market what he had given to his friend. Atong gives him attitude, brandishing a knife threateningly.
Cardo and the rest of the family talk a reluctant Delfin into staying with them. Delfin is hesitant since there’s not enough room.
“It’s actually good,” Elmo states. “The more, the many.”
“Oh my goodness, Elmo” Flora admonishes. “The more the merrier,” she corrects.
“Oh, they changed it?”
Cardo and Yolly put in some words. “The more the many,” Yolly teases her husband.
“Mannier,” Flora adds in mock admiration much to everyone’s amusement.
Elmo and Yolly are worried about paying the bills since business hasn’t been going so well. Some customers mention how the others had switched over to the other eatery. Later, Elmo goes to spy there.
Cardo asks his grandpa what he had discussed with Don Emilio when he had come by since he’s been hearing rumours of him being friends with Almario. Delfin deflects from the question, not wanting to accuse anyone without evidence.
“You can hide it if you want,” Cardo says. “But the truth will eventually come out.”
Tomas rejoins his wretched family in their business and proposes that they move all their laboratories to a ship in order to avoid being raided by the police. Emilio and Joaquin are all for it.
Cardo pays a visit to Glen at her precinct, and soon enough, she starts asking about Marie. She’s clearly taken by surprise when Benny mentions that Marie is his “girlfriend”.
“Oh, so it’s you then,” Glen drawls. “You’re the one.”
“That’s right,” Cardo cuts in. “It’s Benny. He’s the one.”
“Well, she bought you a cake,” Glen argues.
“And you had to jump to conclusions, right?” Cardo counters.
“Well…”
“You know I’m too busy for that. Especially with this ongoing case… I can’t stop, especially with the mastermind still out there – whoever it was who ordered Mecurio to shoot my grandpa Delfin.”
During the drive home, Benny mentions how their eatery has lost most of their regular customers. Meanwhile, Atong’s guys go after a street dog and strike it. It however slips away before they can catch it. The dog ends up in Cardo’s path and Cardo brings the car to a halt as soon as Benny alerts him. Cardo picks up the dog whose leg’s broken and decides to take it home. Once home, Onyok and Makmak take care of it.
Don Emilio comes to see Delfin to offer another lame-ass excuse of an apology. Delfin plays along. The next morning, Cardo, with the kids, take the dog to a vet who charges a large some to treat it. Onyok gives it a ridiculous name.
“What’s his name?” Cardo asks, incredulous. “Car-york?”
“Yes. It’s from Cardo and Onyok. Put them together, you’ll get Car-york.”
Tomas makes his genius plan known to their business partners. Meanwhile, the CIDG deliberate over Almario and his wife’s disappearance. Cardo is ticked off with the situation. Concurrently, Elmo comes up with a promo to win back their customers – unlimited rice at 15 pesos only. Benny adds unlimited soup to the package. Soon enough, a customer excitedly comes to order rice and soup. In no time, he finishes the entire rice dish.
“Our gimmick backfired,” Yolly moans.
“Hey, it’s over,” Benny says to the customer. “Our soup promo is over. Order something else.”
“What? That’s false advertising. That’s not fair. That’s cheating.”
“You didn’t even order anything else,” Yolly laments. “But you finished all our rice.”
The customer complaints and pays up the 15 bucks, threatening to go over to the other eatery.
“I hope you choke,” Benny yells as he leaves.
Dino (one of Joaquin’s lapdogs) shows him the PNP watch list – names of suspected drug dealers. He then points out one of his contacts on the list – Frederico Salas. Later, Joaquin informs his wretched accomplices and Don Emilio sends Froilan to get rid of Salas before he’s caught and resorts to implicating them.
Cardo brings Car-york home, leaving the family excited. Somewhere in the neighborhood, a drunk Salas staggers home. Froilan tails him on a motorbike and puts an end to his miserable life. Later, some neighbors and watchmen find the drunk miserable dead body. Such stupid death.
