“Go ahead with your plan, but once they connect you to General Almario, I will personally ditch you.”
Cardo and Carreon retrieve the assassination case files from the Quezon precinct. Meanwhile at school, Onyok motivates his basketball teammates to be more of a winner like Cardo and beat the opposition. He makes the winning shot and the other kids hail him. Once home, he starts boasting of his skills and Flora gives him a lecture on teamwork.
While Redentor and Don Emilio meet up to discuss business, Delfin deliberates with Cardo on the assassination case and mentions a high ranking officer who’s suspected to be the protector of the drug syndicates.
Marie is crushing over Boye (Cardo) at the club. Upon Hector’s arrival, she starts discussing him with her friend. Meanwhile, Verna exchanges words with her husband over his illegal business activities, pleading with him to quit the business for the sake of their family. Later at dinner, Tomas takes everyone by surprise by agreeing to help out Rachel with her homework.
“Is sir Tomas sick or something?” Cita asks. “He seems to have changed.”
Verna hopes so. Cita however isn’t convinced. Cardo and Benny bring Flora some food at City Hall. They soon witness, Paeng, a watchman ordering some guys to do pushups. Their offense? They had been caught drinking on the street.
“Why are you making them do push-ups?” Flora asks in disbelief.
“I’m just trying to sober them up,” Paeng says.
Scolding the watchman, Flora releases the drunks and lectures them as well. Paeng asks that they be issued guns. Flora scolds him some more. Cardo tries to talk some more sense into him.
Delfin pays a visit to Redentor to discuss the assassinations of their field officers as well as the allegations levelled against him by the late chief inspector. The scum rambles a whole load of crap.
While Marie is having a pointless talk with Hector who tips her with his blood money, some schoolmates of hers spot her at the club. Concurrently, Redentor informs Don Emilio about Delfin’s visit and suspicions. His brain probably expired, Emilio decides to have a talk with Delfin in order to vouch for Redentor, the scumbag who had cleaned the evidence that could have been used against him when he killed Pablo de Leon (Cardo’s father).
At CIDG headquarters, Cardo mentions the big cases the officials who were murdered had been handling. Like always, Joaquin the jackass tries to trivialize the matter to make it seem like no big deal. The miserable swine.
Hector Mecurio thinks back to happier times with his wife. He then flashes back to the abduction of his wife by some rebels. FF>> Hector cries over the dead body of his wife as his commander recounts how Irene had run into a crossfire during the rescue operation. Upon learning that the bullet that killed his wife came from their side, Hector starts throwing a fit. Presently, he vows to avenge her.
Cardo is impressed with the paint job and modifications Benny has given Rambo (the jeep). Benny talks him into going to see Marie at her school. Meanwhile, the guys hound Marie and make advances at her, taunting her with her night job at the club. Cardo comes to witness the spectacle and he beats them up. Marie seems lost in her eyes as Benny looks on.
Onyok is throwing a tantrum and accusing a teammate over having lost the basketball game. While Makmak tries to talk some sense into him, Cardo reveals to Marie his real identity.
“Who keeps sending me flowers and chocolates?” Marie asks in confusion.
“There never really was someone named Boye,” Cardo reveals. “The guy who keeps sending you flowers, chocolates and balloons is…”
Benny is occupying himself with his spaghetti and shaking his head.
“… it’s Benny. He’s the one who really likes you.”
Marie looks disappointed. She tugs at Cardo. “Can it be you instead, Boye?”
Benny turns away and starts eating annoyingly as Marie stares at Cardo. Once home, Cardo and Flora scold Onyok for starting a fight in school despite their warnings. Again, they lecture him over the importance of teamwork. Onyok apologizes.
Don Emilio witnesses a rare scene of his family having a good time together. Later, Tomas whines about Emilio’s stupid decision to talk to Delfin. Joaquin is quiet indifferent.
Glen brings Cardo some files and his favorite deep fried bananas. Soon enough, Marie arrives with a package for Cardo, who introduces her. Glen seems off. Meanwhile, Delfin receives a call from Don Emilio and agrees to meet up with him the next morning.
“This will be easier than I thought,” Emilio jeers after hanging up.
Tomas is brooding in his room. “Go ahead with your plan, but once they connect you to General Almario, I will personally ditch you.”
