“Some of us might not see the end of this mission. It’s our duty to fulfill. We will lay our lives on the line if we have to. Let’s start planning how to bring that Mayor Garrido to his downfall.”
The episode begins with Marco Cabrera introducing Alyana to the other members of the working staff of MC Digital as their new digital marketing specialist who would be helping them in creating branding and digital marketing strategies. He then entrusts her to Toni, one of the employees and charges him to guide and show her the ropes.
Paco has a talk with some neighbors about the vigilante group’s recent attack on the drug lab, hoping that the drug syndicates involving corrupt officials are brought down by trusted members of the police force. Meanwhile, the Vendetta gather a safe distance away from the crowded location. Anton goes to spy and returns a moment later.
“It’s been confirmed. The dead bodies found were Bruno and Axel.”
Regine runs off to the place and Cardo sends Happy after her. As she cries over her brother’s corpse, the members of Vendetta look on sadly. The rotten cops stand nearby in a casual manner. After a while, some officers have the bodies transported to the morgue. Upon returning to their hideout, the Vendetta decide to continue fighting against the corruption and evil in their society, in spite of the fact that their cause puts their very lives in danger.
“Some of us might not see the end of this mission,” Ramil states.
“It’s our duty to fulfill,” Romulo declares. “We will lay our lives on the line if we have to.”
“Let’s give our comrade Bruno the proper wake and burial he rightfully deserves,” Anton remarks.
Homer hangs out with Bubbles in his room, and after taking several hits of cocaine, he urges her to join him so they could both go to ‘heaven’. Bubbles is reluctant and mentions that she doesn’t do that stuff. However, Homer insists that she do as he says since she owes him big time. At the hideout, the members of Vendetta recount how Bruno and Axel had both been killed like animals. They decide to work on Bruno’s last intel regarding Mayor Garrido.
“Once we get our hands on the right info,” intones our favorite hero. “We’ll wait for the perfect moment, to eliminate them one by one.”
Alyana excitedly tries to get through to Toni with her suggestions for the Mom & Dad Account. Nevertheless, Toni cuts her off and demands to have an alone time so he could personally come up with a campaign. Alyana argues that sir Marco had partnered them up for the campaign, and Toni shoots back at her, saying that he’s there to guide her and not work together with her.
Miss Shelia has a talk with her nephew about how his decision to hire Alyana could make people criticize the company and his father’s reputation. Reminding her that she was the one who had picked Alyana as one of the top three applicants, Marco makes it clear that he would let her work and have her credential speak for herself. He then charges her not to bring up anymore issues about her unpopular husband.
Cardo comforts Regine as she cries and grieves over the death of her brother. He then vows to make Senator De Silva and Don Emilio pay for what they’ve done, promising to get justice for Bruno’s death. At the Dalisay, Delfin offers to help out his sister with her problem with the Barangay captain. As they discuss the possibility of suing her for slander, the kids troop in to announce how captain Gina has been going around telling everyone that she had seen Cardo.
“Don’t go listening to everything you hear from your neighbors,” Delfin admonishes. “Do you understand?”
“Yes, grandpa,” they say in unison.
“And besides, if it was true that Cardo was spotted here in our neighborhood,” Grandma Flora chimes in.” Then don’t you think the very first thing he would do is show himself to us?”
Alyana walks in just then. “Cardo was here?”
A moment later, the family begin deliberating on the possibility of our favorite hero having indeed come to the neighborhood to check up on them. Alyana begins yapping and bitching. Meanwhile, Don Emilio and Senator De Silva discuss over dinner their business deal with Mayor Garrido. In the meantime, the members of Vendetta deliberate on the disheartening truth of how their own government officials are corrupting the country.
“We don’t even know if there are any good ones out there,” Tadpole remarks.
“We’re up against powerful people now,” Cardo states. “But what matters is we’re slowly taking them all down.”
“We need to look for this Mayor Garrido,” Romulo chimes in.
“And let’s start planning how to bring that Mayor Garrido to his downfall.”
Senator De Silva calls Mayor Garrido on phone to close their business deal, and the mayor insists on trying out first Don Emilio’s liquid ecstasy. With his business and position in the government at risk on account of the activities of Cardo and his comrades, Senator De Silva orders his lapdogs the rotten cops to follow the corpses in order to track down our favorite hero and his group.
Things are put in place for Bruno’s wake and Cardo and his comrades offer Regine their condolences and promise to stop at nothing until they’ve gotten justice for the death of her brother. Homer the scumbag has his way with Bubbles after having gotten her high and irresponsive. Back at Bruno’s wake, Dulce arrives and mourns her loss and Regine briefs her about what had happened to her brother. Dulce vents out her anger on Cardo and his comrades, lamenting over how her family has suffered since they came along.
“What makes you think you can defeat those powerful people in the government?” Dulce wails. “You’ll never win!” she yells, pounding our favorite hero with her fists. “Go back to the mountains. Or just end up in jail! Leave me and Regine alone!”
Regine struggles to restrain her mother as she unloads on the vigilantes. Dulce then asks her to come with her to the province after her brother’s burial. At MC Digital, Alyana manages to win over Marco, Toni and the other workers with her suggestion to improve the image of Mom & Dad’s Diner. Back at the wake, Regine urges her mother to not be upset with Cardo and his comrades since they had saved their lives countless times.
The rotten cops show their miserable faces at Bruno’s wake and offer their ‘condolences’ to the Morenos. Dulce asks if they have any leads on the murderers of her son and the scumbags claim that her son had been involved in selling illegal drugs, adding that he had been killed by one of his customers whom he had tried scamming. Dulce protests to the absurdity of it all and the scumbags spout some nonsense and hands her some ‘chicken’ change. Enraged, Dulce crumples the money and slams it on the floor as the rotten cops take their leave.
“Tell our men to come back tomorrow,” Panting says to his partner on their way out.
Cardo, Romulo, Ramil and the other members of Vendetta lie in wait nearby, gun readily aimed. At their safe house, Homer has a talk with his men and proposes that they focus on making their drug business big to enrich themselves before they resume the manhunt for Cardo and Romulo. Meanwhile, Don Emilio introduces Lester his chemist to senator De Silva who wants nothing but for them to be the top drug suppliers in the country.
While Mayor Garrido uses some liquid ecstasy on some woman and has his way with her, Lester recounts the numerous troubling symptoms of the drug which could ultimately lead to death. Don Emilio gloats over how they would make money out of the addicts before they eventually kick the bucket. Somewhere, Alyana struggles to get a car home and Marco shows up out of nowhere and insists on driving her home.
As Dulce continues to lament over the unending trouble the vigilantes have brought to her family, Cardo and his comrades decide to desist from involving Dulce and Regine in their mission. They then plan on giving Bruno a decent burial. While Senator De Silva charges Painting to quicken up the pace in tracking down the vigilante group, Cardo proposes to his comrades that they bury Bruno before dawn tomorrow.
“I’m sure we’re the ones those officers were after,” Cardo states. “That’s the reason they came here.”
“They already know that Bruno and Axel were helping us,” Romulo remarks.
“That’s why we need to tighten the security in the entire area,” Ramil adds. “We need to make sure that our enemies won’t be able to get in. If they resist, then you know what to do.”
“Alright, Dalisay,” Earthworm says. “We’ll patrol the area. We’ll make sure nobody gets in.”
“The residents here are our friends,” Anton states.” I’m sure these people are gonna protect us.”
