Christopher Nettey, a former Asante Kotoko defender, has apologized to Accra Hearts of Oak supporters for previously calling the team a Senior High School team.
In one of his earlier interviews, Christopher Nettey said that Asante Kotoko is more like a university and Hearts of Oak is more to a SHS club.
Some supporters were upset by the player’s comments and sought an apology from him or her.
But the footballer has admitted that he regrets making his regrettable remarks after leaving Asante Kotoko.
Speaking in an interview, Christopher Nettey said, “I want to say sorry to any supporter that wasn’t happy about any comment I made. I won’t go back to do that again.”
“I said it, I won’t argue about that. I rendered an apology about that even before starting this interview. The apology goes to all supporters not only Hearts of Oak fans,” Christopher Nettey said on an Accra-based FM station.
Nettey played with Asante Kotoko for three seasons, winning the Ghana Premier League and the President’s Cup.
