The De-luxy Professional Boxing League’s organizers, Mr. Ernest Arday and Imax Media Promotions, have announced that they will provide equipment to the numerous boxing gyms in Accra as a way of supporting them.
Last week, representatives from the Ghana Boxing Authority and Imax Media Promotions went and spoke with some boxing gyms in Accra.
In order to elevate boxing in Ghana and produce global champions, he claimed that Imax Promotions, a newcomer to the sport, is ready to make a significant contribution.
He declared that they would not give up on improving the lives of those whose lives revolve around boxing and that they were willing to work with important stakeholders to do it.
Attoh Quarshie, Will Power, Jamestown, Sea View, Discipline, Wisdom, and Charles Quartey are a few of the gyms that have been visited.
The Ghana Boxing Authority’s President, Mr. Abraham Kotei Neequaye, tasked the gyms and stakeholders with cooperating to ensure the sport’s long-term growth.
The group that visited the gyms included Sam Opoku Amoah (Nana Gold), a member of the GBA media committee, Percy Oblitei Commey of the GBA Technical Directorate, and Mr. Solomon Ofori Manu, acting general secretary of the GBA.
The visiting team promised to address some of the issues raised by the gym coaches in order to save Ghana Boxing.
