Black Stars winger Christian Atsu is now receiving treatment after being rescued from the rubble of an earthquake in Turkey, according to the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The Ghanaian was rescued, according to information the GFA has received, after becoming stuck on February 6, 2022.
“Update: We’ve received some positive news that Christian Atsu has been successfully rescued from the rubble of the collapsed building and is receiving treatment.”
The FA additionally pleaded with Ghanaians and football fans to remember Atsu in their prayers while he recovers.
“Let’s continue to pray for Christian.”
He was allegedly trapped with the team’s sporting director Taner Savut. While Savut has not yet been located, Atsu has been pulled while the search and rescue team continues to look for him.
