At the Sogakope Park, WAFA and Aduana Stars split the spoils as they continue to flirt with relegation in the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
The academy youngsters were unable to take advantage of home comforts as they drew blanks against Aduana Stars, a team that generally struggles while playing away from home.
The academy boys showed a lot of spirit in midweek when they battled back from 2-0 down to secure a draw against Olympics, but they couldn’t generate same power this time.
They were able to stop the Aduana onslaught, but they were unable to conduct a serious counter-offensive.
The penalty appeal when the ball looked to strike the hand of an Aduana Stars player was their best chance of scoring, but the referee remained unmoved.
Moses Ayidem also came close for the home side, but his effort struck the crossbar and was cleared for a corner kick.
WAFA is presently 16th in the relegation zone, one point below Eleven Wonders in 15th position, while Aduana Stars is second, 10 points behind leaders Kotoko.
