In the 17th minute, Michel Otuo scored to give Legon Cities the lead, and Hans Kwofie doubled the lead for the Royals in the 28th minute by tapping into an empty net.
Mudasiru Salifu, a first-half substitution, grabbed a goal back for the Porcupines before the interval, but it was not enough to earn the Porcupines a point.
In the 47th minute, Hans Kwofie headed home a cross from his teammate Jonah Attuqyauye to score it 3-1 for Legon Cities.
In the second half, coach Prosper Narteh introduced Samuel Boateng and Emmanuel Keyekeh, but their efforts were unable to earn the Porcupine a point.
