As part of their collaboration agreement with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Locker Room Bonus will be launched by betPawa, the headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League(GPL).
The betting business has agreed to a three-year, $6 million sponsorship contract with the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
Along with the previously agreed-upon primary, the sponsors will add a Locker Room Bonus for each victory in a match.
To aid in the payment of winning incentives for the various clubs, the Locker Room Bonus is being introduced.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) and betPawa’s partnership aims to effectively market and position the premier league so that it becomes one of the most popular and alluring leagues on the continent.
International celebrity and betPawa shareholder Mr. Eazi signing on behalf of the company, highlighted that “the company’s high appetite for growing and harnessing talents, creating opportunities and rewarding fans across its markets are a few of the many reasons for partnering with the GFA”.
Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, the president of the GFA, praised betPawa for the collaboration.
“On behalf of the Executive Council and the football fraternity in Ghana I wish to thank you for your support”.
Mr. Okraku went on to say that Ghana is endowed with a wealth of football skill, as evidenced by the presentation of artistic soccer play in all of the leagues.
He further stated that “for the country to be able to compete fiercely and on equal footing with other talents across the globe, there is the need for companies like betPawa and corporate Ghana to contribute to complement the effort of the Government.”
The 2022/23 betPawa Premier League is slated to begin on the weekend of September 9–12, 2022, with the league’s official debut taking place on September 2, 2022.
