Richmond Ayi, the goalkeeper for Hearts of Oak, has renewed his agreement with the team. Hearts of Oak announced the new agreement on Saturday, December 17, 2022. It is valid until 2025.
This is a major win for the Phobians, who are eager to renew the contracts of players whose deals are set to expire soon.
A statement from the club reads, “Goalkeeper Richmond Ayi has signed a new 3-year contract with Accra Hearts of Oak. This will keep him at the club till 2025. Congratulations Ayi”
Ayi started playing football with Techiman City FC, a division one team located in the Bono Region. Later, in 2017, he relocated to the Volta Region’s West African Football Academy (WAFA).
After playing for WAFA for two seasons, he switched to Accra Hearts of Oak in 2019.
