Kwame Opare Addo, communication director for the glorious Accra Hearts of Oak, has expressed belief in his side winning the 2023–24 BetPawa Premier League.
The Phobians moved to ninth place on the league table after an impressive win over Accra Lions on Tuesday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Before the sacking of former coach Martinus Koopman, Hearts had only won two matches out of ten in the league, leading many to fear the worst for the team.
In an interview on Max 89.7 FM, the eloquent communications director said, “Unless we’re told, we can’t win the league. Look at where we lie on the [league] table from the top. Only six points separate us from the league leaders, and six points is just two games.
That is football. I know getting six points doesn’t come easy in football; you’ve got to work for it, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t possible.”
Mr. Addo also disclosed that his team is working hard to achieve consistency to be able to win the league.
Hearts would welcome Berekum Chelsea on Sunday afternoon, at the Accra Sports Stadium, at 3 p.m. live on StarTimes Adepa channel 247, as they bid to reach the summit of the table.
