Asante Kotoko’s head coach, Prosper Ogum Narteh, confessed that his team did not play beautiful football against Dreams FC, but they still got the points they needed.
Despite not playing enterprising football, the Kotoko coach claims that his players were able to capitalize on the limited opportunities they had in the game to defeat their opponents.
During the post-match interview, the Kotoko coach said “We didn’t play good football as expected [against Dreams FC], the few chances that we got, we create goals out of it.”
He added, “I’m happy because the aim of the game is to score and get the three points because it is not about how beautiful you play but how you get the points and that is what we did today.”
In Asante Kotoko’s first triumph over Dreams FC in the second leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Cameroonian international Franck Mbella Etouga scored a brace.
Etouga scored a penalty after Dreams FC’s goalie took him down in the box.
After his initial shot hit the goal post, the Cameroonian made it two goals with an easy rebound.
