The Ghana Premier League (GPL) title race is heating up and there are games to be played in Week 26.
The matches began on Friday with Hearts travelling to Techiman to face Eleven Wonders as Kotoko play host to WAFA at Obuasi.
1. Eleven Wonders vs Hearts of Oak
Techiman Eleven Wonders will square off with Accra Hearts of Oak at Techiman.
Wonders have drawn three of their last five games winning just one in the process.
Currently sitting 15th and closer to the relegation zone, they host Hearts who are chasing their fourth successive victory this season.
Hearts sit second on the league table just two points behind Kotoko. The game will be live on StarTimes at 3:00pm.
2. Asante Kotoko vs WAFA
Kumasi Asante Kotoko after dropping points against Liberty Professionals have an opportunity to get back to winning ways when they meet WAFA.
Kotoko will host them at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on May 22, 2021.
Kotoko will hope to stretch their lead at the top but the first leg of this fixture ended 1-1 at Sogakope. The game will be live on StarTimes.
3. Great Olympics vs Inter Allies
Great Olympics will see their clash against Inter Allies as an opportunity to bounce back to winning ways after two defeats in their last two games.
That has seen them drop to 4th on the table five points behind leaders Kotoko.
Inter Allies who are bottom of the league have also recorded two wins in their last five games, their latest win was a 5-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea.
The game will be live on StarTimes at 6:00pm on May 22, 2021.
4. Berekum Chelsea vs Karela
After a heavy defeat to Inter Allies, Berekum Chelsea currently finds themselves outside the top 10 and will need to get back to winning ways.
For Karela, it’s picking up points to close the gap between themselves and Kotoko. Now 3rd on the table, the Anyinase based side travel to Berekum Golden City Park on Sunday.
5. Dreams vs Bechem United
Dreams currently lie 7th, they play host to Bechem United who have lost their last three games.
Currently sitting 10th on the table, this clash at Dawu promises to be exciting and a must-watch game.
6. Ebusua Dwarfs vs Liberty Professionals
Dwarfs were deducted 3 points recently by the Disciplinary Committee of the GFA and they currently find themselves in the relegation zone.
They sit 17th on the table and will need a win against Liberty to see them out of the relegation battle.
Liberty recorded an impressive draw against Kotoko last week and will be hoping to get a positive result against Dwarfs.
7. Elmina Sharks vs King Faisal
Elima Sharks play King Faisal who are 16th on the table. Sharks have only one win in their last five games same as King Faisal.
Sharks lie 12th on the table.
8. Legon Cities vs Aduana Stars
Legon Cities were awarded 3 points by the FA after their game against Dwarfs ended abruptly.
That has seen them jump to 13th on the league table but they have a tough task against Aduana Stars.
Aduana lies 6th and have won four of their last five games. This game at the Accra Sports Stadium will come off on Sunday and will be live on StarTimes.
9. Medeama vs AshantiGold
One of the big clashes of week 26, Medeama host AshantiGold at the Akoon Park.
Medeama have suffered a bit of a set back losing their last two games to WAFA and Aduana Stars.
A win will boost their confidence as they are currently 5th with 40 points.
AshantiGold have had a topsy-turvy season and currently sits 9th with 34 points.
