Imax Media Group and the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) have received praise from two sports journalists with expertise in boxing reporting for their excellent management of the De-luxy Professional Boxing League, which is held at the Bukom Boxing Arena every two weeks.
Sammy Heywood Okine, a seasoned presenter, and Prince Dornu-Leiku, a burgeoning businessman, were guests of ace presenter Hon. Mohammed Amin Lamptey on the “Boxing Arena” on Max TV on Friday morning. They both praised the efforts of everyone involved in setting up the show, which will feature its seventh fight night.
Mr. Okine, also known as “General One,” claimed that he personally enjoyed the fans that packed the Bukom Boxing Arena on fight nights and the GBA President for being open to feedback on how to make the program better.
Prince Dornu, who runs the well-known social media page “Dornu’s Corner,” praised the boxers and their coaches for turning out and putting on outstanding performances.
The motivation of winning big prizes as well as media hoopla, according to General One, founder of the Boxing Writers Association of Ghana (BWAG), drives the boxers to put on outstanding displays.
He also praised the judges and referees for their fair adjudication, oftentimes saving fighters from problems.
Prince Dornu praised the supporters for their outstanding support and gave them advice to preserve their composure.
In addition to hosting the “Boxing Arena” program, GBA Communications Director Hon. Mohammed Amin Lamptey serves as the ring announcer and MC for the De-luxy Professional Boxing League.
He praised the musicians that perform on the program to amuse boxing fans.
They also talked about some of the top fighters and the League Table, which Fit Square now leads.
Artists including Bukom Banku, Adotey Tetor, AK Songtress, King Jerry, Nii Funny, Klala, Adane Best, Tinny, Oko Lacy, and Screwface have performed on the program.
