Cuba’s two-time Olympic gold medalist Robeisy Ramirez squared off against Ghanaian-British former WBO super featherweight champion Isaac ‘the royal storm’ Dogboe for the vacant WBO featherweight title at the Hard Rock Hotel And Casino Tulsa in Catoosa, Oklahoma on Saturday, April 1.
The world championship bout went the full distance as Robeisy Ramirez came out victorious by unanimous decision after flooring Isaac Dogboe in the final round. The scores were 117-110, 118-109 and 119-108.
With this victory, Robeisy Ramirez improved 12-1, 7 KOs and became a new WBO featherweight champion. Isaac Dogboe dropped to 24-3, 15 KOs and failed his attempt to become a two-division world champion
In the other bout two-time world title challenger Joet Gonzalez (26-3, 13 KOs) came out victorious when he faced Jose Enrique Vivas (22-3, 11 KOs).
The bout served as the co-feature on the card topped by Robeisy Ramirez vs Isaac Dogboe for the vacant WBO featherweight.
