Ghanaian star Joseph Luke Wollacot says his goal is to win African Cup of Nations (AFCON) titles and be successful at the World Cup.
The 25-year-old, who plays for English fourth-tier side Swindon Town, is currently the national team’s first choice goalkeeper.
When Ghana beat Nigeria’s Super Eagles to earn a spot in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, he was the goalkeeper.
Wollacot, who was chosen in the English League Two team of the season, declared his desire to win AFCON championships and be successful at the World Cup in an interview with an Accra-based FM station.
“With Ghana, I want to be successful at the World Cup, win AFCON’s, bring enjoyment to Ghanaians” he said.
This season, he has 45 goals against him in 37 League Two appearances.
Wollacot’s contract with Swindon expires at the conclusion of the season, and he will make a decision on his future after that.
