The head coach of high-flying Dreams FC, Karim Zito, has been appointed as head coach of the national U19 male team.
This appointment, according to the Ghana Football Association, is in line with its commitment to nuturing young talent and “building a developmental pathway for young Ghanaian players.”
Former Asante Kotoko forward Eric Bekoe will serve as an assistant to coach Zito.
Since beginning his coaching career at Feyernord Academy, Abdul Karim Zito has led the biggest traditional clubs in Ghana, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, as well as King Faisal and Kwabibirem FC.
He also led the national U20 team to the 2020 WAFU Championship and the 2021 U20 AFCON titles.
