Talented actress, Nikki Samonas has debunked the assertion that Ghana’s movie industry has hit the rocks.
According to her, the industry is doing well now than before and it has tremendously picked up after it slowed down when the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) hits the country.
Nikki Samonas explained that during the pandemic, there was an absence of support and investments which made it difficult for the industry to rise on its feet.
“But now because of corporate investments and investors, especially Akwaaba Magic and a lot of cooperate investors coming on board, now we are used to the digitization way of marketing movies, so, I think that it has picked up tremendously,” she said.
Touching on the reason music is making airwaves than the movie, Nikki said Music is “noisy” and it flows like water unlike Movie which “is not loud” and is like “fire”
“So obviously people are going to know more about music. Movies come once in a while but music is constant,” she added.
