Bassit Seidu was outstanding in his side, Accra Lions’ 4-2 win over Medeama SC in the BetPawa Premier League on Friday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The youngster made history by scoring all four goals for his side, becoming the first player to do so in the 2022/23 league campaign.
For a side that had not won or scored in its last five matches prior to today, Accra Lions began the game strongly and scored 8 minutes into the first half through Bassit Sediu before bagging his brace in the 33rd minute.
Medeama SC went into the second half determined to get something out of the game. Then stepped the highest-scoring defender in the league, Vincent Atinga, who converted two penalty kicks restore parity to the game.
Late goals from the player of the match, Seidu Bassit ensured the Lions walked away with three maximum points.
League leaders Aduana FC must be elated to see their closest contender fall and increasing their gap at the top with six points.
