Medeama SC keep their title hopes alive with a 2-1 win over Bechem United on Monday at the Akoon Park.
Two first half goals from Jonathan Sowah and Vincent Atinga enough to see Medeama cut Aduana Stars to two point.
After an explosive start to the game, Jonathan Sowah scored the opening goal for Medeama SC after beautifully controlling a sumptuous pass from Derrick Fordjuor in the 18th minute.
Vincent Atinga added the second goal in the 33rd minute as he got on the end of a well delivered corner kick to score his 10th goal of the season.
The home side went into the break with a 2-0 lead but the visitors looked solid after the break as they pressed for a comeback. Francis Acquah pulled one back for Bechem United in the 82nd minute but Medeama SC held on to win 2-1 at home.
The win takes Medeama SC to the second spot with 50 points – two points behind leaders Aduana FC who are on 52 points
