Legon Cities head coach Maxwell Konadu stated after his team’s goalless draw with Accra Hearts of Oak that the team had remained in the middle of the table for a while and wanted to rise higher.
Despite having numerous scoring opportunities throughout the game yesterday, neither team was able to score.
The Royals were the better team, and despite the Phobians’ best efforts, the game ended in a scoreless tie because of the Royals’ superior performance.
Despite beginning the game with ten men starting in the 48th minute, Legon Cities managed to draw with the rainbow lads.
In the game, Bortey Acquaye was given a straight yellow card after challenging a Hearts of Oak player.
“We need to climb up the log. We struggled in the middle for quite too long. We also deserve to be top there…it seems our best is still not enough so we keep on pushing until we pick all 3 points,” he said.
Legon Cities is in 14th place with 18 points after 15 games this season.
