Days after the one-week memorial for the late 31, Mubarak Wakaso has delivered another message to his former comrade Christian Atsu.
Wakaso, in a post on his official Facebook wall, wrote: “Will continue to feed you love ???????? till we meet again bro ???????? #RIP ????????.”
The message was accompanied by a picture of Wakaso and Atsu with other Black Stars athletes at what appeared to be a training camp for a competition.
With the passing of Atsu in Turkey, where he was captured in the earthquake that shook the nation and adjacent Syria on February 6, 2023, Wakaso was one of the Black Stars players who was most impacted.
Atsu went missing on the sixth, and his death wasn’t confirmed until his remains were found under the wreckage on the 18th.
Prior to the state-assisted burial on March 17, 2023, the family celebrated for a week on March 4 before the remains were flown to Ghana the following day.
