Andre Ayew, a forward with Al Sadd, has stated his goal for the 2022–23 campaign and stated that it aims to improve on his performance from the previous year.
The 32-year-old finished as the second-highest scorer in the Qatar Stars League with 15 goals in 21 games, making him one of the league’s top performers.
With Al Sadd, Ayew won the league championship in 2021–2022, working for current Barcelona manager Xavier Hernández.
“I believe that I need to keep on working hard because I want to improve what I did last season whether statistically or in the game so I can help the team even more,” he said.
The former West Ham player will represent Ghana with the Black Stars at the Qatar FIFA World Cup in 2022.
The Black Stars will compete in Group H of the world championship alongside South Korea, Portugal, and Uruguay.
Ghana’s World Cup schedule will begin with a match against Portugal, followed by matches against South Korea and Uruguay.
