Paul Pogba, a midfielder for Juventus, is said to have told the French Police that he asked a witch doctor to perform a spell for him.
But according to reports, the former Manchester United player said that the spell was cast to protect him from persistent ailments that were hurting his career, not to curse Kylian Mbappe, a member of his country’s national team.
Following charges by his senior brother Mathias that he hired a witch doctor to cast a hex on Kylian Mbappe in order to have the Paris Saint-Germain star miss the 2022 World Cup due to injury, Paul Pogba responded.
“During his hearings, Paul Pogba would have confirmed to the investigators that he had paid a marabout well, but to protect himself from injury and not to cast a spell on his teammate in the France team Kylian,” French media outlet, CNews has reported.
There has been a lot of discussion in the “Paul Pogba” controversy, which has been trending in the football world for the past week, regarding blackmail, intimidation, manipulation, and most importantly, money.
At the beginning of August, an investigation was also opened in France for “extortion attempts in an organized gang” on the French international, who would have been asked for 13 million euros by his blackmailers for “services rendered”.
