Richard “Olele” Kingson, the goalkeepers’ trainer for the Black Stars, says Ghanaians shouldn’t worry about the goalkeeping division since they will choose the best to represent the nation at the 2019 FIFA World Cup.
Due to inconsistent performances, the Black Stars’ goalkeeping unit has recently been a major source of worry in important events.
England-based Richard Ofori, Nurudeen Abdul Manaf, and Lawrence Ati-Zigi appear to have seized the top slot, with Jojo Wollacott as their apparent leader.

“The goalkeepers we have now have confidence, and you can see that from the recent games we have played. They want to do something for the nation, and for me, that department is safe. Anybody who gets the chance to be in the post will give off their maximum best,” he emphasised.
Kingson acknowledged that he was collaborating closely with other members of the technical team to choose the top goalkeepers for the competition.
In order for the Black Stars to succeed at this year’s World Cup, the former Wigan Athletic goalkeeper emphasized the necessity for Ghanaians to band together and show their support for the squad.
“I want Ghanaians to come together to support the Black Stars with all our energy because it is our own no matter what,” he added.
Kingson was optimistic that the Black Stars, who reached the quarterfinals in 2010, may advance further.
