Malia gladly listens to Grandpa Gabriel and Grandma Pina’s tales of Tristan’s mischievous childhood. Betty recounts how her nephew had ran away from home on one occasion because he had had a fight with his father, adding that Tristan had returned home with a corn – a peace offering for his father. Miyo (Malia) seems transfixed as she reflects on when she had given a corn to a runaway kid by the fence way back home some years ago.

Betty takes delight in the fact that her nephew has a good heart despite his mischiefs.

Prof T tells senator Mallari of the sacred oath of secrecy the Moonchasers had taken and the senator likens them to Luna soldiers. He apologizes for the incident in Mirasol and promises to take care of the press and their parents and give the fallen Moonchasers a befitting burial. Prof T expresses his appreciation as Tristan lies on a nearby bed dejectedly.

Supremo questions Rambo about the head of the Moonchasers but he defies him and refuses to talk, compelling the evil vampire lord to bite him. Meanwhile, the LLU faction see the news on TV about the supposed youth volunteers who had been killed during senator Mallari’s visit to the province. The photos of Joey, Lauren, Rocky, Chelo and Mikey are displayed on the screen and Lemuel recognizes them.

”I’ve seen them before,” Lemuel intones. “I know those people.”

Tristan beats himself up over his inability to save Joey, Rambo and his other comrades. As Prof T administers his serum to a number of the Moonchasers, Chloe goes into shock and unfortunately, Prof T is unable to save her because the serums he had made are exhausted. Tristan. A.D and the other Moonchasers look on sadly as their comrade dies.

Rambo jerks awake as a newly turned vampire and Supremo gloats, confident that he’ll now be inclined to tell him what he wants to know. However, Rambo still refuses and resists and the evil vampire lord resorts to toying with him to spite him. He indulges Rambo and effortlessly evades all his attacks in a one-sided fight, eventually finishing him off. He then gives his minions an earful for failing in their mission.

“I’ll have to kill senator Mallari myself,” Supremo declares.

“Those kids who died were members of a group,” Lemuel reveals back at the LLU base. “And they knew that I’m a vampire. And they tried to kill me before. They have members who are expert fighters.”

Malia asks why the news had claimed that they were volunteers for senator Mallari and Jake speculates that it was made to look like an ambush to cover up the fact that it was the vampires who had killed the young vigilantes. Meanwhile, Tristan strives to return home to his troubled family but soon passes out due to his weakened state and the extent of his injuries. Leo and A.D carry him back to his bed on Prof T’s instruction. Back at the LLU base, Gael proposes that they track down the surviving members of the anti-vampire group.

“If we share the same objective to defeat the evil vampires, it would be better to join forces with them.”

“I’m gonna look for them,” Erin declares.

“I’m going to help with your search,” Malia chimes in.

Betty and the rest of the Toralbas continue to worry about Tristan. Miyo (Malia) arrives home to learn that Tristan hasn’t contacted his family yet. Later, as Betty reflects on her talk with Doc regarding her nephew’s interest in vampires, she browses the net and stumbles onto the Moonchasers’ website. The anxiety of the Toralbas doesn’t subside the next morning when they’re still unable to get into contact with Tristan.

Prof T develops two serums – one called ‘the Lifesaver’ which when injected into a victim’s heart, will effectively prevent the spread of the toxin from the nails of vampires. The second serum, which he deems top secret, is a combination of a werewolf and vampire blood which accelerates healing when administered. Stating that he’s synthesized it for use on humans, and that it’s 90% faster, Prof T injects Tristan and after a few seconds, a deep gush on his belly heals rapidly. Senator Mallari promises to help out with his money and connections and Prof T expresses his appreciation.

“These youths are role models,” Mallari says as he stares down at Tristan who’s still passed out. “They have a heart to fight against evil forces in this world. I promise I’ll do everything in order to stop the vampires’ evil plans.”

.Betty reaches out to Doc for help to find the whereabouts of her nephew. Meanwhile, Prof T stares at Tristan and reflects on a memory with his departed wife and daughter. In no time, Tristan wakes up and Prof T urges him to lie back down and get some more rest, adding that he has to give him another dose of the serum because his wounds are deep. Somewhere in the city, Senator Mallari arrives home to his wife and kids, quiet dejected about the recent happenings. He heads for his chambers and has the shock of his life to see a vampire sitting comfortably in his chair. Mallari tries to escape but the vampire scum cuts him off.

“I just came so I could talk to you.”

“So you’re Supremo.”

“I came to invite you to join me,” Supremo says. “Together with the powerful and influential people in the government – we will lead and dominate the whole nation.

Mallari stares dumbly.

“You don’t want to? You’ll be able to keep your post if you join me.”

“And side with evil? I would rather become an ordinary citizen than obtain a position by dishonorable means. I want to be president so I can stop you from spreading evil to everyone.”

Supremo pierces the senator with a look. “And you think you can do that by yourself.”

“You’ll eventually find your match. Even if you’re powerful, someone will come to defeat you. Even if I lose, that person will finish you off!”

“You should have said yes. Whether you like it or not, you’re going to be one of us.” And with that, the evil vampire lord bares his fangs to strike.

Senator Mallari fumbles for his gun and aims it at Supremo. He then puts it in his mouth and pulls the trigger.

Erin and Malia visit the wake of Joey and learn of how the bodies of the supposed youth volunteers had been mangled, Leo and the others try to talk Prof T into letting them go to the wake of their friends all to no avail. Back at the wake, Malia and Erin find out about the breaking news – the death of Senator Mallari. Prof T is quiet affected once he comes to know of it. Later, Prof T has a talk with the faceless admin and head of the Moonchasers, venting out his frustrations as well as how he had lost faith on account of their misfortune in Mirasol. Nevertheless, he goes ahead to reflect on the senator’s death.

“This loss has now given me more reason,” Prof T fumes. “To kill every single one of those vampires. And I will never stop until this world is rid of them.”

The LLU faction discuss the sudden death of senator Mallari and Omar speculates that Supremo might have been responsible and might have attempted to convince the senator to join his side. Baristo realizes that the ambush on the senator had been done by the vampires in an attempt to turn him into one of them. Erin begins to wonder how the group had known that the vampires were going to attack. Malia speculates that they might have weapons that could kill vampires, adding that someone is probably giving them information about Supremo’s next targets.

“I suspect that the info came from a vampire,” Malia concludes. “And that’s why we need to meet this team.”

Supremo questions his minions about their failed mission, asking how the mortals had known when they were going to ambush the senator. He dismisses them all except one by name Therene.

The evil vampire lord begins circling his target.

“I suspect that there’s a spy among us.”

“A spy?”

“That’s right. One of my followers is a traitor. Someone has dared to oppose me and hinder my plans. It’s you.”

Therene is motionless with agitation.

“It’s you who now has the responsibility,” Supremo continues. “To find out who that traitor is.”

“As you wish, beloved Supremo.”

“I swear that the minute I find out who has gone behind my back and betrayed me, I will give him a punishment that’s worse than death.”

Doc takes Betty to Neri’s place in an attempt to get a lead on Tristan’s whereabouts but they come up with nothing substantial. Meanwhile, Prof T has the Moonchasers take the last dose of the serum, telling them that they would fully recover in a few days. He asks of Tristan, only to learn that he’s gone missing. Speaking of, the man of the hour spies on his family from a distance, unwilling for them to see him in such a state. As fate will have it, he’s spotted by Miyo (Malia). He tries sneaking away but Miyo cuts him off and lectures him on how he’s left his family worried about him.

“Just let me be for now,” Tristan says.

“You could have gotten in touch with them,” Miyo admonishes. “Instead, you come and check on them quickly and then leave again. Your grandparents, they’re old and fragile. Don’t let them worry about you.”

“But you don’t understand me. I have my reasons. At this point, I can’t let my family see me.”
