Jacinta dances with Gilbert (Supremo), simultaneously asking about his love life. She mentions that he needs a woman in his life since everyone loves to hear a good love story. Gilbert asks if that woman can be her and Jacinta replies in the negative. Gilbert then turns the tables ad begins questioning her about her love life too. Jacinta admits that she had loved before – a forbidden love that had hurt her profoundly. Gilbert asks who that person was.
Samantha asks Tristan if he had seen something and he mentions the voice he had heard telling him that they would be together soon. Back at the rendezvous place, Jacinta refuses to talk about the subject anymore. She asks Gilbert if he has ever loved before and he states that he’s never felt his heart beat in his life for anyone.
“Maybe you’ve never felt it,” Jacinta begins. “Because you don’t have one at all. Only heartless people have no capacity to love, don’t you think?”
Gilbert looks on silently, somewhat disturbed.
“But who knows, maybe the woman who’ll finally make your heart beat is coming.”
Samantha talks to Prof T on phone and demands that he come over to the Mallari residence at once. Prof T is reluctant, saying that he’s in the middle of something. However, Samantha insists that he join the mission so they can protect Tristan. Inside, Jake talks to Tristan about Samantha and manages to cover up the fact that he knew about her beforehand. Meanwhile, Supremo talks to Senator Paglinaun on phone about Jacinta after parting ways with her.
“Before she plays you for a fool, I suggest you kill Lia now,” Paglinauan states. “And if she’s not Lia, why don’t you just turn her into a vampire instead?”
Supremo sneaks into Jacinta’s room and towers over her while she sleeps, fangs bared. He makes an attempt to go in for her neck but halts for some reason. He then glides out of her room and a second later, Jacinta’s eyes jerk open. The next morning at the LLU, Malia’s powers is put to the test. She goes against Vergel in his wolf form and manages to evade his attacks. Vergel bites her but she’s able to heal from the wound in no time. Veruska deduces that a werewolf bite doesn’t affect her vampire blood.
On Baristo’s signal, Gael goes at Malia. She tries outrunning him but fails miserably and takes a blow to her belly. Again, Veruska deduces that Malia doesn’t have the speed of a vampire. In an attempt to find out if her werewolf lineage is stronger, Baristo gives the go-ahead and Gael bites Malia’s shoulder. Like before, the wound heals as Gael mentions that there’s nothing different in her blood. Baristo then declares that training is done for the day.
“The only power you’ve manifested so far is your ability to heal,” Veruska says to Malia.
“And you aren’t affected by the bite of a vampire or werewolf,” Lemuel adds.
“We can conclude that you have equal parts vampire and werewolf blood,” Baristo concludes. “All we can do is give it some time. I’m sure your true power will manifest.”
While Gilbert hangs out with Jacinta somewhere, Omar the traitor shows up at the Mallari house asking of Tristan, going with the pretense that he’s a friend of Miyo. The traitorous scumbag claims he has vital information about him and Tristan soaks up his bullshit. As Gilbert ironically sings to Jacinta at their rendezvous place, Omar outsmarts Tristan ad captures him with a little assistance from his vampire buddies. Jake comes out a moment too late and isn’t able to stop the traitorous Omar. He then calls Malia to inform her of the situation.
Jacinta commends Gilbert’s performance and asks what the song was about. Gilbert throws the question back at her, saying that the song is a lullaby from the South. Jacinta indulges him, glad that he’s beginning to listen to her. A phone call comes in from Omar who tells Supremo that they’ve captured Tristan. Gilbert subtly orders him to keep him until his return. Once off the phone, he tries to make Jacinta believe that it’s about his business.
Tristan struggles as the vampires carry him out of the car, into a building and up a flight of stairs. Out of nowhere, Malia stands in Omar’s path and proceeds to battle him and his vampire buddies. Upon breaking free of his restraints, Tristan joins the fight and together, they hold off the undead scum until Jake pulls over nearby and they’re able to make a quick getaway. During the drive, Tristan asks of Mrs. Mallari and Jake mentions that he was the actual target of the vampires since no one had stormed into the house.
Prof T approaches Samantha at the Moonchasers HQ. “You knew I was doing something important.”
“I ordered you to protect him!” Samantha fumes. “Now look at what happened!”
“The Guardian never makes mistakes. You were told Tristan is going to die, and he’s going to become a vampire. You don’t hold other people’s fate in your hand, Samantha…my daughter…I relentlessly studied her blood to give her a shot at the new life, but what happened? She was killed by a vampire. Was I able to stop it? Go figure.”
“I am not going to let go of Tristan. He has a very significant role in the prophecy. And there is a reason why he has become the constant companion of the new Chosen One. If Tristan were to become a vampire, I am not going to allow him to become our enemy. That could happen, if Supremo manages to take him on his side.”
Gilbert finds a woman scolding and spanking her kid and he steps right in to angrily shove the woman away, right into Jacinta’s arms. The kid runs back to his mother as Jacinta gives Gilbert a look. While Tristan returns to the Moonchasers HQ with Malia and Jake in tow, Madam Star proceeds to asks Betty about her nephew’s personality and hobbies. Betty answers her questions, but eventually, she sees through her act and demands to know if anything is going to happen to her nephew.
Tristan presents the plan he had submitted to Prof T against Senator Paglinauan and Supremo. Leo points out that he isn’t safe as long as those two walk freely, but Tristan won’t have any of it as he’s quiet determined to push through with his plans against them. Hanno suggests that they expose Supremo’s identity so countries around the world would unite to kill him. Tristan points out that it’s too dangerous since there would be collateral damage and they have no idea of the advantage the vampires have on them.
Malia disagrees with Tristan’s plan and references what had happened to Miyo and his family. Jake then suggests that they come up with a foolproof plan. While Star asks Betty if her nephew has anything to do with vampires, Jacinta meets up with Gilbert and asks him of his violent tendencies on account of the recent incident. She warns him that his behavior won’t be good for his candidacy in the public eye, then asks if it has anything to do with any childhood trauma.
Gilbert glares like nobody’s business. “What are you doing?”
“I just want to know what you’re feeling,” Jacinta shoots back.
“Everything began rushing in ever since you came along. Ever since you came back. You do not have any right to do this to me…Lia.”
Malia and the other Moonchasers try in vain to talk Tristan out of pushing through with his dangerous plan. Way back home, Star reveals how Tristan always appeared in her dreams and divinations even before they had moved into the neighborhood. Betty asks if something bad is going to happen to him. Back at the Moonchasers HQ, Prof T shows up and agrees to Tristan’s plan, saying that though it is dangerous, it is one of the best ways to stop Supremo.
Star bluntly admits to Betty that Tristan will become a vampire. She then talks a bewildered Betty into telling her everything she knows about her nephew. Meanwhile, Jacinta asks Gilbert who Lia is, whether she’s his ex or enemy. Gilbert calls her Lia again and demands that she stop her ‘nonsense’. Jacinta declares that she has no idea what he’s talking about.
“You’re insisting that I am that other person, that Lia. Why? Do I look like her?”
“Stop pulling my leg,” Gilbert hisses. “Or I might do something you wouldn’t like.”
“Now it’s making sense. I see it now. That’s why you’ve been watching my every move, listening to my every word. You’re waiting for me to slip, because this entire time, you think I’m someone else, Gilbert.”
The evil vampire lord takes of his sunglasses. “Gilbert? Why don’t you just call me by my real name instead? Say my name!” Supremo’s eyes glow vampire red, fangs bared. “Go ahead! Say my real name! Sandrino!” And with that, Supremo bares his fangs all the more. Jacinta stares back, terrified.
Betty tells Madam Star about her late brother’s secret job as a Luna soldier. She then recounts how Tonio had brought home Rica, a pregnant woman he had introduced as a coworker and his girlfriend. Betty then reflects on the simple, peaceful life they had had when Tristan had come into the picture, only to change suddenly with Rica’s sudden disappearance. She then mentions how Tonio had made their parents believe that Rica had died in the line of duty and he had buried her body right away because it had been mauled beyond recognition.
“The truth is, he saw Rica again. She had become a vampire. Rica couldn’t finish my brother off. That encounter was enough to cripple Tonio for life. We’ve heard nothing about Rica since then…my nephew will become a vampire? Star, what do I have to do to keep that from happening?”
Jacinta makes an attempt to run off but Supremo cuts off her escape and grabs her by the throat.
“I know you still have your powers. That’s why you didn’t age. That’s why you didn’t die.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Jacinta breathes.
“I already killed you. I killed Mateo too! I have destroyed your beloved family. And even though your daughter Malia managed to survive, she doesn’t possess any powers. The prophecy has already changed. She can no longer kill me. You’ve got the audacity to face me again. I am just going to kill you like I did before!”
Star tells Betty that her visions aren’t guaranteed to happen. Betty however fears that it could happen at one point. Star mentions that the fate of everyone depends on their actions. A moment later, Malia walks Tristan home, insistent on joining his group for the mission so she could have his back. Betty shows up and demands that they have a talk. Meanwhile, Supremo hoists Jacinta up singlehandedly and hurls her to the ground.
Betty questions her nephew about his job and whereabouts. When he doesn’t give much to go on, she goes through his bag and discovers the Moonchasers weapon and demands to know the truth. Tristan reluctantly admits that he uses it to kill vampires. He has an exchange of words with his aunt over his determination to protect innocent lives from the evil vampires, saying that he’s just following in his father’s footsteps. Malia hangs outside and listens in.
“No way,” Betty declares. “Tonio wouldn’t have wanted that for you. Your father turned his back on being a Luna because it was the best way to protect you!”
Tristan looks on in disbelief, quiet dumbfounded. Meanwhile, Supremo gets in Jacinta’s face and bares his fangs at her. After staring for a while, Jacinta closes her eyes and braces herself. Suddenly, Supremo stops his foolishness and compels her to forget everything that had transpired. Jacinta then passes out in the arms of the evil vampire lord.
