Last Saturday, the Deluxy Professional Boxing League brought intriguing bouts to the Bukom Boxing Arena, with interesting outcomes.
After eleven thrilling Fight Nights at the DE-LUXY Professional Boxing League in a packed Bukom Boxing Arena, in different weight categories, more than ever before, which is only one of the reasons why the 2022 Professional Boxing League is the biggest platform and perhaps the best yet.
After the grand opening on February 19th 2022, was followed by weeks of exciting matchups and some surprising results. Boxers had a lot to fight for, towards the end of the League season in December as the Grand Prize is a Brand New Car Renault Kwid at stake.
Shown on MaxTV, Fight Night 11 of the Deluxy Professional Boxing League started Live from the Bukom Boxing Arena with the first bout of the night at 9pm which was a Superfly Weight between Godwin Tetteh verses David Tagoe.
The second bout of the Night was the Superfeather Weight fight between Eric Quarm and Vincent Atiku. Eric Quarm was on an obvious mission at Fight Night 11.
Vincent Atiku was battered. He was literally battling for his survival against the Fante boy from Axim, Eric Quarm. He gave the audience a spectacular show as he expertly defeated Vincent Atiku in the 2nd Round.
The Juvenile fight of the night was between Ibrahim Ablorh verses Michael Tetteh.
Klutei Robertson was also in action as he battled Daniel Otoo from the Wisdom Gym.
Daniel Otoo lost to a very excellent Klutei Robertson in round 3, in what proved to be one of the great bouts of the Fight Night 11.
Godwin Tetteh defeated David Tagoe of the Palm Springs Gym in the Superfly Weight Contest as the judges scored 58-56, 58-57, and 60-54.
Ibrahim Ablorh and Michael Tetteh also showed they’ve got promising futures at the night.
Boxing Prodigy Mohammed Ablorh received an award at the fight night from BESESAKA as the most promising boxer of the year.
Two dynamites, Student of Accra Academy Cann Neequaye and Birmingham-based Ghanaian Abdul Mateen Gariba engaged in a tough battle which ended in a draw.
Ernest Ampah beat Francis Lamptey after 6 rounds with the judges scoring 60-55, 58-55, and 58-55.
Francis Aryee threw in the towel in round 4 after Gabriel Coffie proved to be too hot for him to handle.
The audience included both young and old people as well as beautiful females who enjoyed the boxing and entertainment from the international fisherman Gasmila, who treated them to some of his great musical hits.
Certainly the crowd enjoyed their time watching the exciting bouts.
Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuje, Prof. Joshua Alabi, TT Brothers, Reps from the American Embassy, Isaac Dogbe, were in attendance.
Boxing champions Joseph Agbeko and George Ashie were also present, wishing Emmanuel Tagoe well as he prepares to fight Ryan Garcia next week.
Isaac ‘The Royal Storm’ Dogbe, gracing the event, showed great reactions towards Eric Quarms’ vicious punches on Vincent Atiku.
