Ghana’s Black Starlets have been crowned champions of the inaugural UEFA U-16 Development Tournament, by beating Switzerland 3-2 on Tuesday.
A brace from Ramzy Asumadu and a late strike from Debrah Bossman saw Ghana finish on top in a five goal thriller. The Black Starlets twice let their lead slip, but a late goal from Debrah Bossman handed them a massive win on the day.
It was Ghana’s third win at the UEFA under-16 youth development tournament following victories against Serbia and Spain. The team defeated the host nation Serbia 4-0 in the first game before following it with a 3-2 win against Spain.
Ghana finished the tournament with a 100% record after three wins in three games. The team is expected in Ghana on Wednesday following a successful tournament.
