UK Government Revised Covid-19 Protocols activated in EPL
The UK government and the English Premier League (EPL) have adopted new measures to combat Covid-19 as restrictions are lifted across the country.
The revised standard Covid-19 protocols are aimed at monitoring the number cases that are reported at match venues in order to quickly identify hotspots and intervene as swiftly as possible.
With the summer about to end, experts are cautiously optimistic that Covid-19 cases will not surge again as witnessed during the second wave of the pandemic.
With record attendances expected across stadia after the international football break, officials are keen to put in place measures that would check the potential surge of Covid-19 in the winter.
