Victor Osimhen, a forward for Nigeria, has stated that his team is ready to overcome the Black Stars on home soil in the World Cup play-off.
After the team’s first training session, the in-form Napoli striker stated he and his colleagues are looking forward to generating better results in the first leg on Friday at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium.

“We are determined to shoot them down at their home ground because we want to be at the World Cup. So we are not going to defend, we are motivated to win in Kumasi because we want to be at the World Cup. We shall try and eliminate them at be in Qatar,” Osimhen said in an interview.
“It is not going to be an easy match because of the rivalry between us, but we cannot afford miss the 2022 World Cup. We will not allow a repeat of what happened against Central Africa when we lost in Lagos. We just have to get the job done in Kumasi,”

The Super Eagles departed from Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on a chartered jet on Thursday morning and are in Ghana at the moment.
The squad arrived at Kotoka International Airport before heading to Kumasi for the first leg match, which will take place on March 25, 2022 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The squad will train at the match location 24 hours before the game, as specified by CAF and FIFA tournament standards.

Ghana and Nigeria will compete for one of five African tickets to the 2022 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar in November.
The second match will take place at the Moshood Abiola Sports Stadium in Abuja in four days.
