One of Ghana’s finest Reggae and Dancehall export, Samini Dagaati, has joined the world in mourning the untimely passing of Ghana football star, Christian Atsu.
After his lifeless body was discovered beneath the wreckage of a terrible earthquake in Turkey last week, the former winger for Newcastle United, Everton, and Chelsea was confirmed to be dead. The news of his untimely demise has shocked his home country Ghana and the world as a whole.
After close to two weeks of searching the rubble of his apartments that collapsed, his remains were found together with his his IDs.
His remains were accompanied from Turkey to Ghana on the Turkish Airlines by his family and Ghana’s ambassador to Turkey, Francisca Ashietey-Odunton as declared by Ghana’s foreign ministry.
Samini expressed his grief following the delivery of Christian Atsu’s remains and to thank the government for committing to assist the family in providing Atsu a dignified send-off.
“Sad moments as our boy came home last night. He wrote, “May we not return in boxes as we step out to hustle for family, God, and country! Kudos to the state for promising to support the family in giving our brother a befitting send off”.
