The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IBG Social Media Communication, George Agyeman-Budu, has charged businesses to embrace the new digital platforms for reaching the masses in order to advance their businesses.
According to him, social media has become an integral part of life, and there is a need for brands to reposition themselves on those platforms to reach their target audience.

Speaking on Max FM’s TechTalk program in Accra yesterday, Agyeman-Budu said on platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, brands should use story telling and creative contents to engage their audience.
He said consistency in posts could raise awareness, engage audiences, and target markets to follow the brand while building a healthy, profitable relationship with the brand.
“Consistency posts could be daily or twice weekly, but just make sure that you’re consistent with your brand image, your brand message, the frequency of your posts, and the hashtag that drives your brand messaging. If you have this in your consistency capsule, it will drive your business forward,” he said.
Agyeman-Budu expressed the need for brands to be customer-centered by answering questions, saying thank you when someone shares posts, and engaging them through chats aside from quality contents.

“Be inspiring as a brand and have it at the back of your head that you must get revenue from what you’re doing,” he added.
