Board member of the glorious Accra Hearts of Oak, Frank Nelson, just as any other fan of the club wishes for its return to continental football, as they are renowned to be “Continental Masters” of African football.
Hearts of Oak are the only Ghanaian club to have won both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup. Fans have longed for the return of their beloved club to Africa to challenge the likes of Al Ahly for the top crown, but it doesn’t seem it will happen anytime soon.
The Phobians appointed the experienced Aboubakar Outtara just before the start of the second round of the 2023–24 Ghana Premier League to help turn around the season.

According to Frank Nelson, despite kicking off the second round with a resounding 3-0 win over the side he described as “a pain in the neck,” RTU, the club cannot afford to be relaxed, as he claims miraculously winning the league would be a plus for them.

“The wish of everyone at Hearts of Oak is to carry the flag of Accra Hearts of Oak like Still Believe and Medeama are doing in Africa. We have done it before. We cannot be relaxed when other clubs are participating in Africa. Winning the league would be a plus for Hearts of Oak, but we need to see what our new technical team can do. We will get better when we are patient,” he said to max.com.gh.
Coach Aboubakar Outtara’s side would travel away in their next match to face Nsoatreman, as they intend to fight their way to the top.
