In the African Games 2023 women’s football final, hosts the Black Princesses of Ghana will play fierce rivals the Falconets of Nigeria.
Thanks to a brace from Tracy Twun and a goal by Ophelia Amponsah, Ghana defeated Senegal 3-1 on Monday night in an exciting semi-final match to advance to face Nigeria.

In the first semi-final, Nigeria’s Falconets, the holders, defeated Uganda 2-0.
The majority of the game was played in deadlock until Judith Adaobi Okah of Nigeria broke it in the 74th minute.

With a minute remaining in regulation time, Chiamaka Okwuchukwu’s second goal ensured victory for Chris Danjuma’s team.
Nigeria and Ghana will face off on Thursday at Cape Coast Stadium for the gold medal.
