North and West African giants, Egypt and Nigeria, continue to exercise their dominance at the top of the medal table of the 13th African Games in Accra, Ghana.
With 53 gold, 21 silver, and 20 bronze medals, the North Africans maintained their position at the top of the medal standings.

Nigeria has 22 gold, 10 silver, and 16 bronze medals, placing them in second place overall.
The Nigerians finished second during the last African Games in Morocco, despite obtaining 127 medals at the Games.

Meanwhile, Ghana is struggling to break into the top five on the medal table, led by Egypt, Nigeria, Algeria, South Africa, and Tunisia.
