Following the earthquake in Turkey, Newcastle United’s head coach, Eddie Howe, expressed his optimism for positive news on Christian Atsu’s whereabouts.
Atsu’s former coworker at Bournemouth, Eddie, acknowledged that the issue is alarming.
He recalled his time with Astu and spoke with the player and his family before his team’s match against Bournemouth.
“It’s hugely worrying. I really enjoyed working with Christian [at Bournemouth]. He’s a great lad and a great player. Our thoughts are with him and his family. We hope for some good news.”
The only members of Hatalspor still alive after the terrible incident on February 6, 2023 are the technical director Taner Savut and Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu.
The search and rescue team is still seeking for Atsu and Taner Savut, who appear to be stuck in the debris.
