Match day 5 of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League saw Berry Ladies upset Ladystrikers 2-1 at the Madina Astro Turf on Saturday.
In the 53rd minute, Asana Hamidu scored for Ladystrikers after the Berry Ladies defense miscommunicated, which she took full advantage of to side foot the ball into the goal.

But it didn’t take long for the home team to regain parity when Doreen Graham tapped in a feed from the right wing.
Berry Ladies never gave up and eventually found their way to win when Janet Korkor Osei scored in the 88th minute to give the home team all three points.
In other games, Jonina FC, the league’s newcomers, defeated Sea Lions 1-0 at home, while Soccer Intellectuals shocked Essiam Socrates 2-1 away.
At Gyandu Park, Hasaacas Ladies, the league’s heavyweights, defeated Army Ladies 2-1.

In Kumasi, Ashtown Ladies defeated Pearlpia Ladies 1-0.
