Former Bibiani GoldStars coach Michael Osei has revealed his plans for the Black Stars of Ghana, should he be hired for the top job.
The Ghana Football Association has received quite a number of applications since the sacking of English coach Chris Hughton following a pathetic showing at the ongoing 2023 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations, where Ghana were dumped out of the competition in the group stages.

In an interview with a Kumasi-based radio station, the former Asante Kotoko player, Osei, counseled against the need for a quick fix (winning the AFCON) but rather focused on building a “powerful team.”
“Let’s just put aside winning the AFCON for now.”

“Instead, consider transition and building a powerful team. When given the opportunity to head the team, I plan to construct my team around the young people on the team, as most countries do.”
“Also, offer opportunities for local players and strive to keep them in the country so that we can develop more for our senior national team. For the time being, my focus is on developing strong basics rather than winning trophies,” said Osei, who holds CAF license A and UEFAA license B.
